Google ranks different pieces of your site differently. What that means is that there may be content that doesn’t change for years and that’s OK as long as videos, blogs, testimonials, free offers, case studies, etc… get updated when needed. But, it’s not just about updating one piece of your site regularly. Google also looks at how MUCH fresh content is provided. That doesn’t mean you should be rewriting your website every week.
When it comes to fresh website content it all comes down to timeliness and relevance. It’s all about balancing the needs of your viewers with the needs of your business in order to stay on top of your SEO ranking. Take the subject of SEO it changes constantly, so relevant and timely blog posts are important, but it is just as important to remove posts that no longer are current and relevant.
